Perfect Penguins- Spring 1 Week 5

English 
This week in English we have continued looking at the book ‘Farm Boy’. We have been planning and writing our paragraphs for our Newspaper Report.  

Maths 
In Maths this week we have been exploring reflection and translation. Penguins enjoyed reflecting shapes across a mirror line, but found translation at the end of the week a little bit tricky. As this was the first time we have looked at translating shapes and dots, we had to learn a lot of new skills, but Penguins tried really hard with this. 

Other Subjects 
As it was Children’s Mental Health Week this week, Penguins class have been looking at the theme ‘Know Yourself, Grow Yourself’. Everyone drew on a tree to show emotions they experience, and some things they can do to help when they are feeling these emotions. On the other side of the tree, they wrote and drew things they can try, that they haven’t tried before to help when they are feeling the emotions.
