Perfect Penguins- Spring 2 Week 4

This week in English we have finished publishing our chronological reports. Later in the week, we started learning all about Setting Descriptions, as this is what we will be writing next. We started reading the book “The Boy Who Grew a Forest” and Penguins have enjoyed reding this so far.

Maths
In Maths this week, we have been started learning about percentages. On Monday, we learned ‘per cent’ means out of 100% and we shaded 100 squares to show different percentages. Later in the week, we looked at how percentages, decimals and fractions relate, and wrote equivalent fractions and decimals for some percentages.

Other Subjects
This week in Topic, we have been learning all about Picasso and continuous line drawings. At the start of the week, we looked at some famous continuous line drawings by Picasso and then tried recreating them. Some of the Penguins went one step further and began to draw their own continuous line drawing!

Penguins Achievements!

Star of the Week- Billy for being brave and resilient in lessons, as well as being a kind and considerate friend.

Star Writer- Kourtney for a really well written chronological report all about the human life cycle.
