Perfect Penguins- Spring 2 Week 5

This Week Penguins have been working really hard on our assessments, as a reward for their hard work, there is no homelearning this week!

English
This week in English we have finished reading the book ‘The Boy who Grew a Forest’. On Thursday, we started planning and writing our setting Descriptions, as we will be publishing these next week.

Maths
On Thursday and Friday of Maths this week, we have been looking at reasoning questions and how to answer these.

Other Subjects
This week in Topic, we have been learning all about seasonality and eating foods in the right season. On Tuesday, we tried some different varieties of peppers, as peppers are currently in season. On Thursday, Penguins had the treat of meeting author Jodie Ounsley (Fury from Gladiators) who came in to school to talk all about her new book ‘Keep Smashing it’. Penguins had such an amazing time and Lily was so lucky as she got to ask a question!

Star Writer- Bella, for putting a lot of effort into her handwriting on her chronological report all about the human life cycle.
