Sharks Autumn 1 Week 1

Welcome to year 2! 

The Super Sharks have made an excellent start to life in year 2 and we are very proud of them all.

In maths, we have been developing our place value knowledge and learning how to partition two digit numbers into tens and ones. We have used this skill to help us order different two digit numbers to 100. 

In English, we have started a new unit of work working towards writing a story to entertain the children in FS2. We have enjoyed reading The Magic Paintbrush by Julia Donaldson and learnt lots of new vocabularly. 

We have been historians in topic this week. We started our new topic with an exciting day dressed as different significant people. The children looked incredible in their outfits and loved sharing facts with the class. We are looking forward to learning lots more about different significant people over the next few weeks.
