Sharks Autumn 1 Week 3

We've had another very busy week in the Super Sharks class! 

In English, we have been working hard to write our new stories based on The Magic Pencil by Julia Donaldson. We have been using our story maps to help us compose sentences and practiced saying our sentences out loud before writing them down. Allisa and Morgan helped the class to write a sentence correctly using the words scowl and furious. 

In maths, we have learnt how to add using tens and ones. We know to label the digits with T and O to help us partition the number. We carefully drew sticks of ten and circles to represent the ones. We carefully counted in multiples of 10 and one to find the totals. 

We had a very exciting day on Tuesday as it was Global Schools Day. We were very lucky to have a visitor to our classroom who shared lots of information with us about their experiences of living in different countries and the languages they are able to speak. It was very interesting and we asked lots of great questions to further our understanding.
