Sharks Autumn 2 Week 1

Welcome back Super Sharks!

In Maths, we have been working hard to improve our addition skills. We have applied our knowledge of place value to partition two digit numbers into tens and ones before adding them. We have also applied our skills to solve contextualised problems. 

In English, we have enjoyed reading a stories called 'The Magic Porridge Pot'. We have read two different versions of the story and begun to identify the different features within them. We have learnt to use the words verb, noun and adjective when talking about writing. Emelia could explain that a verb is an action word and tells us what the character is doing.

In Topic, we started our new mini project called 'Human Survival'. We learnt about the human life cycle and what things are needed for humans to live a healthy lifestyle. We have started an experiment to see if we can improve our aerobic fitness. We are doing as many star jumps as we can within 1 minute every day for 5 days. We hope to see the number we achieve increase each time.
