Sharks Autumn 2 Week 2

This week in maths, we have been learning how to add and subtract using tens and ones. We have worked hard to look at the symbol in our number sentence to know if we need to add or subtract. We have applied our knowledge to solve subtraction problems using an exchange. 

In English we have learnt lots of different skills to help us when we start writing our stories next week. We have learnt how to use adjectives to describe characters and time adverbials to start sentences. We have created our own story maps to plan a new story.

In topic, we have been working on our Mix It project. We learnt the primary and seconday colours to make a colour wheel. 
Arria knows red and blue make purple. Charlotte shared that red and yellow makes orange. Ava knows yellow and blue make green. 
We also studied different pieces of art and the colours artists used.
