Sharks Autumn 2 Week 3
Date: 22nd Nov 2024 @ 2:15pm
In maths, the Sharks have been learning how to multiply and divide. We have learnt that to check our answer is sensible, the answer should be smaller when you divide and larger when you multiply.
In English, we have been very busy writing our own stories based on the magic porridge pot. Harley has written a great story about a magic potion pot using lots adjectives to describe. In Emelia's story, there is a magic bag which contains an endless supply of lovely, warm custard!
In topic, we have continued our learning about mixing colours. This week, we used our knowledge of primary and secondary colours to create a painting with different colours and textures. We used our printing blocks to mix and overlap colours.
We have also started our Remarkable Recipes topic. We learnt about different tools used in the kitchen and explored which was best for completing different tasks. We used a masher to mash a banana, a peeler to peel a potato, tongs to grab lettuce, grater to grate cheese and a measuring spoon to measure a tablespoon of water.
Star of the Week- Charlie (amazing improvements in his attitude towards learning).
