Sharks Spring 1 Week 1

Welcome back to Spring term of Year 2! We hope you have had the most wonderful break and are ready to see what this half term has in store! 

In maths this week, we have continued to develop our knowledge of place value. We applied our knowledge of numbers to esitmate numbers on a numberline. Ethan did a great job of explaining he knew 50 would be exactly half way between 0 and 100 (on a line with no divisions) because half of 100 is 50. Well done Ethan! 

In English, we have enjoyed reading the story 'Sally and the Limpet'. We loved working in small groups to act out the story and performed small shows to the class. Millie did an excellent job of explaining the sequence of events to her peers.

On Tuesday we started our new topic called 'Coastlines'. We  have been very busy exploring maps and using compass directions to describe the location of different coastal towns.
