Sharks Summer 2 Week 5

Date: 4th Jul 2024 @ 4:51pm

We have been busy exploring patterns in maths this week. We have used different colours, shapes and objects to create our own patterns. First, we identified the repeating part of the pattern and then continued  is on ourselves.

In English, we have been learning lots of different facts about castles so we can ensure our non-chronological reports are as informative as possible. We have used mind maps to help us write paragraphs linking sentences about the same subject together.

In topic lessons, we completed our mini project ‘Portrait and Poses’. We had great fun editing a picture of ourselves to create our very own royal portrait. We thought very carefully about the pose we wanted for our picture and what this would tell people about us. Alan and Ike show great strength and power in their pictures!

Star of the week: All of the sharks for their wonderful class assembly!

Star writer: Elsie
