Spring 1 Week 1

Maths
In Maths lessons this week, we have been looking at place value and rounding. Bees class have been finding 1000 less and more than a number, comparing numbers and rounding to the nearest 10, 100 and 1000. At the end of the week we have been looking at reading and writing roman numerals.

English
In English this week, we have started looking at non-chronological reports. We read “Exploring Rivers” and investigated the different features of a non-chronological report. We made a poster to show the features we found in our text.

Other Subjects
In Topic this week we have started our new topic “Misty Mountain, Winding River.” We started the topic by looking at the journey of a river and created models of a river out of mixed materials.
