Take a look at what Cheerful Cheetahs class have been learning this week ...

In maths, we have revised counting in 2s and practised counting in 5s. We have been chanting in 2s and 5s and singing songs to help with our learning. We have then applied this skill to count different amounts. Well done to Elsie who did an excellent job of counting in 5s,

In English, we have been learning about London and the landmarks it contains. We have been working really hard using describing words and learning new vocabulary and its meaning to help us when we do our final write of the unit. 

We have started a new topic called 'Bright Lights, Big City'. We have learnt about the local landmarks of Derby, including Pride Park Stadium. We researched when it was built, who built it and what it is used for. Well done to Louie for remembering when the stadium was built. 

Before the Christmas break we asked that you researched a London landmark and recreate it either as a model or a picture. We can see that you have worked hard on them over the Christmas break as we have received some wonderful examples of the different landmarks that London has to offer. Well done Cheetahs! 

Well done to our 'Star Writer' this week who was Cohen. He did some excellent work in English and identified some great describing words. Well done!
