Maths

In Maths this week, the children have been consolidating their understanding of place value. We began the week by looking at the value of a digit within numbers up to one million. The children then moved onto applying their understanding of place value to accurately round numbers to the nearest whole, tenth, hundredth and thousandth using the rule '5 or more, add one more. 4 or less, let it rest'.

English

In English this week, the children have been learning about 'Adventure Narratives' using the video '23 degrees 5 minutes'. The children began the week by watching the video and then identified the 5 core elements of a narrative based upon the video. Later in the week, the children predicted how the video would end and created their own story resolutions.
