Maths
This week in Maths, the children have continued to build up their knowledge of place value. We have been learning about ascending and descending when ordering numbers and rounding numbers to the nearest ten, by following the ‘rounding rules’.

English
In English this week, we have started a new unit of writing. We are going to be writing a narrative based on Mary Anning and her life. The children have been learning about Mary Anning and how she become an influential person to people around the world.

Topic

In Topic lessons this week, we have been learning about rocks and how they are formed. The children have been using key vocabulary to describe properties of rocks. The children have had the opportunity to see and feel the similarities and differences of each type of rock.
