Spring 1 Week 1

Date: 10th Jan 2025 @ 9:43am

We have had a great first week.

Maths this week, we have been rounding to the nearest 10, 100 or 1000, comparing and ordering numbers and solving problems including these. On Friday, we continue to practise our times tables.

In English we have started looking at non-chronological reports. The children have learnt that they will be writing a non-chronological report for National Geographic. We have been looking at what features are needed in the reports and types of vocabulary we can use.

We have started our new topic this week, Misty Mountain, Winding Rivers. We have looked at the features of a river and human and physical features. The children have designed a poster to show erosion, transportation and deposition.

In Spanish we have started learning food and drink vocabulary.
