Spring 1 week 2

Hello everyone. It has been yet another packed learning week in the Magnificent Monkeys' classroom. In Spanish, we have been learning about musical instruments. We can all say "Toco el violin". In maths, we have been learning to add and subtract using the column method. In English, we worked together to form paragraphs about Mary Anning. In geography, we learnt all about volcanoes and how they form. There are four types of volcano a strato volcano, lava dome volcano, shield volcano and cinder cone volcano. Did you know that people actually visit volcanoes when they are on holiday! Our whole class reading book this week has been Stone Girl, Bone Girl, which has taught us lots about Mary Anning's life. We learnt the rhyme " Stone girl, bone girl out on your own girl". Finally, our story in RE was about miracles. We read about Jesus healing a blind man.
