Spring 1 Week 2

Maths
In Maths lessons this week, Bees class have been practicing using the column method for adding and subtracting 2, 3, and 4 digit numbers. Later on this week we used our written addition and subtraction skills to answer word problems.

English
In English this week, we continued looking at non-chronological reports. We explored different sentence starters we can use in our writing and practiced writing sentences using different punctuation. At the end of the week we started planning our non-chronological reports, ready to write them up next week.

Other Subjects
In Topic this week we have continued our learning all about rivers. We first looked at famous rivers around the world and named these. Bees class enjoyed using maps to find and label the rivers. We have also explored the uses of rivers. Bees class looked at how we use rivers in different ways and then produced a leaflet describing how we can use rivers.
