Maths

This week, the children have been learning about how to use column addition and subtraction to solve one and two step worded problems. Also, they have learnt how to use the inverse operation to check their answers. Amelia and Phoenix confidently solved a range of problems and presented their work in a well organised way.    

English

During this week, the children have continued looking at non-chronological reports. They have explored the different ways in which you can start sentences and they have practised writing sentences using a range of punctuation. At the end of the week, they planned their own non-chronological report all about rivers. We are really looking forward to writing these next week. 

Other Areas

This week, in Topic the children have continued their learning on rivers. First, they looked at famous rivers around the world and then they learnt about the uses of rivers. Also, in PE, the children are really enjoying our dance unit based on James Bond.
