Spring 1 Week 2

We’ve had a busy second week back at school! Please can we ask that you support your child in ensuring that their iPad is fully charged and ready to use at school every day. Also please remember to bring in your reading book and reading diary.

In English this week, the children have enjoyed learning to write speech, using speech marks and 'said' synonyms. They also practised writing interesting sentences using subordinating conjunctions e.g since, if, when.

In Maths, the children have recapped addition and subtraction, using the column method. They are becoming much more confident with this method.

In Topic, the children learned about how fossils are formed and they also learned about why Mary Anning was such an important historical figure.

In PSHE, the children have been learning to understand there are different types of bullying.

In BSL, the children have been learning about hobbies and if they like or don’t like the hobby.

Please continue to support your children in completing their home learning tasks this week and continue to read as much as you can!

Please can you ensure that the children are coming to school on Mondays and Wednesdays in their PE kit and that they are wearing either trainers or pumps.
