Spring 1 Week 3
Date: 25th Jan 2024 @ 10:22am
In Literacy this week, we have been reading the story of “Kipper’s Snowy Day”. The children really enjoyed discussing Winter including: the weather, clothing and things to do in the snow. From our fantastic discussions the children went on to hear examples of Winter poetry. This was then used this as inspiration to write their very own poems. Zadie explained “Winter is freezing”. Very true words!
This week in Maths, the children have been learning about 3D shape. The Bears had a go at naming a selection of shapes as well as looking at the 2D faces on the shape. Kodi was able to explain that the cube had square faces. That really is a clever observation Kodi 😊
Reception have really enjoyed making snowflakes this week. They took such care when cutting and really tried to vary the shapes they made to make each snowflake unique. Well done Bears you are all superstars!
