Spring 1 Week 4

The Butterflies have had a fantastic week this week. 

In literacy, we have explored the story 'Owl Babies' From this, we researched our own facts about owls. Amelie was able to explain that owls are nocturnal and gave a good explanantion of what this is - Well done Amelie :) 

The children then used the facts to write their own fact sheet about owls. 

We discussed how The baby owls felt sad and scared and related this to a time we have had the same feelings. 

In Maths, we have been learning about '1 less'. The children became owls on a branch and then one flew away to show the number  '1 less' Well done to Layla for saying the number 1 less each time! :)
