Spring 1 week 4

We have worked hard this week in the Starfish class.

In maths, we focused on money. We identified different coins and notes and decided which were needed to make an amount. Violet and Harper enjoyed shopping for cakes and finding the coins they needed to pay with! 

In English, we have started our new book called, ‘Somebody Swallowed Stanley’. This is a book about plastic pollution and why it is dangerous to our planet. We answered comprehension questions to learn new facts to use in our letter to the Mayor of Whitby.

In topic this week, we have continued to learn about Whitby. We have written about Saltwick Nab, learnt about jobs they have had in the past and listened to some exciting music.
