Spring 1 Week 4
Date: 1st Feb 2024 @ 4:37pm
Take a look at what Cheerful Cheetahs class have been learning this week ...
In maths, we have been looking at halves of shapes and whether the shapes have been split equally or unequally. Tyler has done an amazing job at splitting his shapes into equal halves and he did this work independently. Well done Tyler!
In English, we have been learning about writing instructions. We have looked at sequencing the instructions correctly and how to recognise the correct sequence and we discussed what would happen if they were not sequenced correctly.
In Topic, we learnt how to draw Big Ben, we all did a fabulous job in our artwork. We researched some facts about Big Ben and we were astonished to find out that the clock face diameter is bigger than the width of our classroom at 7 metres! We had fun measuring out the diameter using our metre stick.
Cheetahs had their class assembly this week and they all worked really hard to learn their lines and their song. They performed it brilliantly and we hope all of the parents/carers enjoyed it. A special thank you to those that helped their child learn their lines and thank you for showing your support and coming to watch your child. Well done Cheetahs for your hard work!
Well done to our 'Star of the Week' which is Hunter. Hunter has been working hard in his writing and produced a lovely piece of work in his final write, well done!
Our star writer this week is Harrison, who has been working hard in his English lessons. Excellent work. well done!
