Spring 1 Week 4

Maths
In Maths lessons this week, Bees class have been practicing using the short division (bus stop) method for dividing numbers. We have used this method to divide 2 and 3 digit numbers by 1 digit number, some of the amounts we divide had remainders. We found this a little tricky at first but it got easier as we practiced.

English
In English this week, we finished publishing our non-chronological reports. After this, we started learning all about adventure stories. Bees were very excited to find out that the adventure stories they will write will go on display in the library, so other children can read them.  

Other Subjects
In Topic this week we have continued our learning about mountains. On Tuesday, had a visit from a mountain climbing expert… Mrs Holt! Bees enjoyed asking Mrs Holt questions and learning all about her mountain climbing adventures. Later on in the week, Bees enjoyed researching all about famous mountains, including Mount Everest, Snowdon and the Rocky Mountains.
