Spring 1 Week 5

The Butterflies have enjoyed a fun packed Easter week! 

We began our week with a special assembly delivered by our friends from the church. The Vicar taught us all abour the meaning of Easter in a fun, engaging way. We then enjoyed joining in with some Easter songs.

The Butterflies have been introduced to subtraction. We enjoyed watching some of our friends being 'taken away' to show that the number gets smaller. Well done to Chizurum for working out some of the answers in his head - Great mental maths! :) 

This week's story 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear' tells the story of Brown Bear seeing lots of different colours. It is done in a rhyming and repetitive way which enabled the children to very quickly join in themselves. Well done to Joel for using this story to write his own 'Brown Bear' Poem :) 

The children enjoyed finishing our Easter week showing off their wonderful Easter bonnets in Reigate's Easter bonnet parade! Thank you to the grown ups who helped their children with these. They looked fabulous!
