Spring 1- Week 6

Maths this week, we have used our fraction knowledge from last week to solve problems. We have also been learning how to recognise and write decimal equivalents of tenths and find them on a number line.

In English we have been publishing out adventure narrative for Julia Donaldson.

In Swimming this week, we did our final assessment and then we got to have fun in the water.

The children really enjoyed the Year 4 Showcase on Wednesday. They got to show their grown-ups their ‘blue folder’ of published work, their posters about mountains around the world and some of their artwork.

For the final afternoon this half term, as part of topic the children have been outside making wormeries. They have leant about the different types of soils and how it is made.
