Maths
This week in Maths, we have been working on angles. We started by identifying turns and directions and moved onto recognising, identifying and comparing acute, obtuse and right angles.

English
In English this week, we have started a new unit of writing. In this unit, we are working towards writing a story about the tragedy that happened in Pompeii, during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79AD.  The children have started looking at the features included in a story, ready for our grammar lessons next week.

Topic

In our Topic lessons, we have started our Science mini project, ‘Forces and Magnets’. The children have been learning all about contact and non-contact forces, as well as frictional forces. The children have completed different investigations this week to support their learning about forces.
