Spring 2, Week 2

Take a look at what Talented T-Rex class have been learning this week…

In Maths, we have revisited addition and subtraction. As part of this, we solved missing number problems. We identified whether the whole or a part was missing and drew counters to find the missing number. Indie, Esmay and Jack did an excellent job!

In Computing, we learnt about e-books and started to create our own e-book on Purple Mash. We had to draw our character, then give them a name. Over the next couple of weeks, we will be developing our characters and stories.

On Thursday, we enjoyed celebrating World Book Day. In the morning, we showed our costumes to the class, explaining who we were and what story we were from. In the afternoon, we read the story ‘What the Jackdaw Saw’ by Julia Donaldson. Then, we created our own version of the story, choosing a different character. Some of our stories were ‘What the Butterfly Saw’ and ‘What the Dog Saw’.

Thank you to parents and carers who helped with costumes and the books in boxes. Everyone looked fantastic and the books in boxes where amazing!!

Well done to Aden for Star of the Week! You have really impressed me with your phonics recently, remembering lots of new phonemes and spotting them in words.

Well done to Jenson for Star Writer! You have become more independent in writing and you have had lovely ideas.
