Spring 2 Week 2

Take a look at what Cheerful Cheetahs class have been learning this week ...

On Thursday, we enjoyed celebrating World Book Day. The children came in some fantastic costumes and were proudly showing them off in class. We read the story ‘What the Jackdaw Saw’ by Julia Donaldson. Then, we created our own version of the story, choosing a different character. Some of our stories were ‘What the Turtle Saw’ by Codi and ‘What the Wolf Saw’ by Jacob.

In maths, we have been looking at missing number problems in both addition and subtraction. We have been learning the strategies needed to work out the problems. We have been using number lines to help with subtracting and adding numbers. We have also started to use a ruler as a number line to help us when we do not have a number line to hand. Well done to Caelan who was using his ruler to successfully answer his questions.

Thank you to the parents and carers who helped with the books in boxes. The books in the boxes looked fanastic and clearly a lot of time went in to helping your child make them. Thank you!

Well done to our 'Star of the Week' which is Bonnie. Bonnie has been working hard this week in her writing. She has come up with some wonderful questions and used these in her writing, well done!
