Spring 2 Week 2

Maths
In Maths lessons this week, Bees class have been looking at statistics and handling data. At the start of the week we looked at bar charts, pictograms and mathematical tables. Bees worked hard to read the charts and answer questions about the data shown in them. At the end of the week we continued our times tables practice.

English
In English this week, we continued our learning about explanation texts. We researched some amazing facts about solids, liquids and gasses, some of us then found facts about the fourth state of matter, plasma, whereas other children wrote some fun facts about states of matter. Now our texts are all planned, we are looking forward to writing them up!

Other Subjects
Bees class enjoyed their second time swimming and tried really hard in their lesson. In Topic this week we have looked at grouping and classifying animals and plants, Bees enjoyed sorting animals into groups and writing questions for what the groups could be.

Also this week, we have celebrated World Book Day! On Thursday we all dressed up as our favourite characters and learned about what you need to make a good story. At the end of the day we read a bit more of our class book, ‘Land of Roar’.
