Maths

In Maths this week, the year 6 children have been applying their mathematical knowledge to answer reasoning and problem solving questions about a variety of different subjects. At the beginning of the week, the children began by looking at how to answer worded problems using their knowledge of measurement. The children used their knowledge of how to convert measurements to successfully answer SATs style reasoning questions. Take a look at some of the questions below. 

English

In English this week, the children have began a new writing unit. In Year 6, we are currently learning how to write a balanced argument. This week, the children have learnt what makes a good balanced arugment. They have looked at a variety of good examples of writing and have analsyed the grammatical features used in each. 

Star of the week- Well done to Kaima. Kaima has shown a fantastic attitude to her learning this week. 

Star writer- Well done to Sebastian. Sebastian has worked hard this week to improve his handwriting.
