Spring 2 Week 3

Maths 
In Maths lessons this week, Bees class have been looking at line graphs and converting measures. On Monday, we looked at the height of a sunflower and how this grew over some weeks. Bees class worked hard to use the data to create a line graph. We have also looked at how many minutes there are in a hour and how to convert between hours and minutes. At the end of the week, we started converting between mm, cm, m and km.  

English 
In English this week, we continued our learning about explanation texts. We started writing them up, using our neat handwriting. On Thursday and Friday, we will start publishing our finished pieces!  

Other Subjects 
On Tuesday, we had lots of Spanish activities. Bees class learned a Salsa dance and practiced this to some Spanish music. We even heard the story of Jack and the Beanstalk in Spanish. In Topic this week, we started our new mini project ‘vista’. Bees enjoyed using their own viewfinders to look at landscapes and take photos. They sketched out the outline and started to paint these using watercolours.
