What an amazing week!

This week is British Sign Language Week and the children and parents at Reigate have been learning all about how to use their BSL skills inside and outside of school.

We have had two excellent BSL sessions for parents, one session in which the parents and children watched some BSL stories.  During the other session, we gave our parents some lessons in British Sign Language and what a fabulous job they did! Well done everyone and thank you for taking part.

During our BSL session for parents we were visited by the Police Link Officers for Deaf people (PLOD) and they joined in with our signing lesson! 

This week we have shortlisted eight children to be interviewed for a BSL Ambassador role.  Letters will be coming out next week for successful candidates.  Well done to everyone who applied for the role.

Our wonderful children have also taken part in extra signing lessons, assemblies, and lots of BSL activities this week.

Staff from the exam board, Signature, also visited some of our BSL lessons and they were so proud of how amazing the children at Reigate are.
