Spring 2 Week 5

In Maths this week, the children have been completing their Arithmetic and Reasoning assessments. We have also been using the 4 operations to solve word problems. On Friday we continue to do our weekly Times Tables lesson. 

 
In English this week, we have also been doing our assessments. As well as this we have been doing some research for our persuasive leaflet about the Museum of Making. 

On Wednesday, the children went into Derby City Centre for our trip linked to our Mist Mountain, Winding River topic. We walked along the River Derwent, and the children looked out for features that they had been learning about. We went into Derby Cathedral to look at the history of the building and artwork inside. We finally ended up at the Museum of Making where we took part in a workshop on printing. 

On Thursday, afternoon the children got to meet the Gladiator Fury who visited the school to promote her new book.
