Starfish Autumn 2, Week 4

This week in Maths, we have been learning how to find fractions of amounts and representations. We learnt how to find a half, quarter and a third. Tyler and Abbie worked well as a team to find the answers to number sentences and even moved on to reasoning questions.

In English, we have started our new unit of writing. We will be writing a letter about deforestation. We have learnt how to use question words to make our work engaging for him to read. We have also learnt how to use a wide range of verbs to describe what is happening to the trees.

In Topic, we started our mini project called ‘Remarkable Recipes’. On Wednesday, we made banana splits by following a recipe. We had to carefully cut the banana in half and then had the chance to add sprinkles over the top.
