Starfish Spring 1, Week 5

In Maths, we have been learning how to read scales. We filled different containers with a varied amount of volumes and as a group we read the scale, to how much liquid was in the container. On Wednesday, we worked in teams again to weigh different objects around the classroom.   

In English, we started our new unit of work based on the story 'Somebody Swallowed Stanley'. This book is all about plastic pollution and the awful things that happen because of it. We have been using a wide range of different books to help us find facts to include in our writing. On Tuesday, Miss Eaton introduced us to using commas in a list, we were amazing at it it! 

In Forest School, we have continued to make our own pencils out of sticks. We were than able to use them to draw in the mud and on the trees.
