Starfish Summer 2, Week 3

Date: 20th Jun 2024 @ 10:32am

This week in Maths, we have been finding fractions of amounts. We remembered the method needed to find the answer and answered our questions independently. Miss Eaton challenged us to work out fractions with numbers bigger than 50! But we persevered and with the method we were able to answer the questions.

In English, we wrote our castle descriptions up in neat. We included features from the success criteria and edited our sentences using purple pen to improve them for the reader.

In topic lessons, we have made our own mini beast habitats. We collected twigs, mud, stones, leaves and grass from the forest school and then used these to create our mini beast home. We thought about what animals need to survive and included this in our homes. Emilee made a bed out of grass for her bugs, so they had somewhere to sleep.

Star of the week: All of Super Starfish - For wokring together to make a wonderful bug hotel for the forest school area.

Star writer: David - For using exciting adjectives in his writing.

Super Starfish attendance: 93.7%
