Starfish Summer 2, Week 5
Date: 4th Jul 2024 @ 8:16am
This week in Maths, we have been exploring patterns. We have used different colours, shapes and objects to create patterns. First, we had to identify the repeating part of the pattern and then continue this to the end of the pattern.
In English, we have been learning lots of different facts about castles that we can use in our non-chronological reports. We have learnt about parts of a castle, inside a castle and what they were used for. Did you know, the Keep was the safest part of the castle and where the Queen and King hid if the castle was being attacked.
In topic lessons, we completed our mini project ‘Portrait and Poses’. For our final piece of work, we took a photograph of ourselves, printed it out and then added clothes, crowns and jewels on top using crayon to turn ourselves into a Tudor portrait.
Star of the week: Noah G - For making a wonderful digital portrait
Aleksandra - For working hard in writing lessons
Star writer: Ollie - For writing an exciting castle description
