Maths

In Maths this week, the year 6 children have been applying their mathematical knowledge to answer arithmetic style questions. It has been fantastic to see how much knowledge they have retained throughout the year. Keep up the good work Alligators. 

English

In English this week, the children have began a new writing unit. In Year 6, we are currently learning how to write a historical narrative. At the beginning of the week, the children began the unit by reading the text 'Rose Blanche by Christophe Gallaz and Roberto Innocenti'. The children will use this model text to write their own retells of this fascinating story of a young girl during WW2. 

Topic 

The Awesome Alligators have started their brand new topic of 'Britain at War'. This week, the children looked at the causes of WW1. Take a look at their fabulous work below. 

Star Handwriter- Joab. Joab has worked really hard this week to improve his handwriting.
