Summer 1 week 2

This week we have continued to look at the story "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" again, when reading the story, the children are really good at remembering the repeated refrains.

We are monitoring the progress of the caterpillars and every day the adults and the children are amazed at how big they are growing.

In maths the children have been continuing to match the right amount of fruit in the story, to the correct numeral, for example, 1 apple matched with the number 1, 2 pears matched with the number 2, 3 plums matched with the number 3.

In literacy the chidren have been practising writing their name as they do every day. They have also been practising tracing over the days of the week to continue to improve thier fine motor skills.

It was nice to see the parents at our parental engagement session on Friday. We hope you enjoyed the stories we read.

Again another fantastic week, the children amaze us everyday with their knowledge and enthusiasm.
