Summer 1, Week 2

Take a look at what Talented T-Rex class have been learning this week…

In English, we have designed our own fictional plants. We came up with lots of exciting ideas like milkshake trees and doughnut trees. Then, we had to think about what they would need for soil and water. Some great ideas included melted chocolate, sugar, and sprinkles!

In Maths, we have revisited addition and subtraction. We recalled the different strategies we have learnt (drawing counters, counting in our head, using a hundred square) and used these to solve questions. Charlotte, Jenson, and Ethan worked hard at solving all the sums.

In Computing, we learnt about coding. We used Purple Mash to create different codes, selecting the object e.g., a fish or a bubble and the action it needs to complete e.g., move left or pop. We also enjoyed adding sound effects to the actions!
