Summer 1 - Week 2

A huge congratulations to Antonina for achieving Star of the Week today - she always puts 100% into her learning and her confidence is really increasing!

This week we had a very special Wednesday afternoon as some Grandad's and Dad's came in to share their hobby's.  Freya's dad did some hydro-dipping with us, we got to dip our own cutlery and a dolphin to keep in our class, the children absolutely LOVED it!  Logan's dad shared information about falcons, we learnt that he has one at home - it is called Venom. Theo's grandad also shared his love of building bird houses!

In P.E we started two new topics this half term, we are going to be learning the skills involved when playing cricket and also a range of athletics.

This week in maths has been tricky, the dolphins have been learning all about fractions.  They have been identifying the numerator and denominator to find a fraction of an amount using counters and cubes.

In R.E over the last two weeks year 3 have been discussing the different roles they have, we all created a cube showing all of our different roles - see the photo below of Mia's, Alisa's, Jorjaia's, Milas and Freya's.
