Summer 1 Week 2

Take a look at what Cheerful Cheetahs class have been learning this week ...

In English, we have designed our own fictional plants. We came up with lots of fantastic ideas such as: wish trees, ice cream trees and pea shooter plants. Then, we thought about what they would need for soil and how they would be watered. We had some great ideas such as mushy pea water, melted chocolate, fruit winders and melted copper.

In computing, we have been learning how to code. Using Purple Mash we created different codes by selecting the objects and then assigning an action to it. Such as a fish moving left and right or a bubble popping.     

In maths we have revisited addition and subtractions. We recalled the different strategies that we have learnt so far to solve the calculations. We have discussed which options are better than others for some calculations. Well done to Hunter and Henry who successfully used their ruler to help them work out the answer!  

Well done to our 'Star of the Week' which is Abbie. Abbie has shown an amazing attitude towards her learning this week. Well done!

Our star writer this week is Emma, who has been working hard in her writing. She has tried really hard in her handwriting.
