Maths

This week, the children have been dividing numbers by 10 and 100. They have been using Place Value grids to help us to see the numbers get 10 or 100 times smaller. We have also continued learning about fractions – the children are now able to add and subtract fractions with the same denominator.

English

During this week, the children have been very excited about writing their adventure narratives. They have written some excellent descriptive settings about the archaeological dig. It has been great to see how animated they have been about planning what the problem will be in their stories and how their character will resolve it!

Other Areas

This week in Topic we have been learning about the mummification process. The children really enjoyed making their own mummies and sarcophagus. We even mummified each other.
