Sharks Summer 2 Week 4

Date: 27th Jun 2024 @ 4:31pm

In maths, we have been learning how to find lines of symmetry. We were amazed to learn circles have an infinate number of lines of symmetry! We used mirrors on different shapes to investigate how many lines of symmetry other shapes have.

In topic lessons, we have started a new mini project called ‘portrait and poses’. We have studied portraits of different monarchs and discussed what the image tells us about the individual. We then practiced our sketching skills using different pencils. We have learnt how to use ovals as a starting point for drawing body parts. Ike drew a brilliant portrait of his friend Jaden.

We had an amazing day on Wednesday visiting Twycross Zoo. We saw so many different animals. The penguins were cooling off in their pool while the gorrilas were taking a nap inside! We really enjoyed watching the bonobos playing on their climbing frame. We are saw a baby monkey leaping from rope to rope- very cute!

Star of the week: Julia (for her amazing attitude towards learning, excellent manners and being a role model to all).

Star writer: Loui (great work finding the features of a non-chronological report).

Super Sharks attendance: 94.4%
