Maths

This week, the children have been learning about money. We have learnt about UK currency, how to write it using decimals and converting between pounds and pence. The children learnt to compare and estimate money, calculate change and solve money problems.

English

This week, we have started a new style of writing. The children are going to writing a persuasive letter to Derby Museum to get a free ticket to their latest exhibition. They have begun to look at a variety of persuasive vocabulary to help to convince them to do this.

Other Areas

This week, we have started our Art mini-project. The children have been sketching statues and statuettes using a variety of techniques.

We have been playing Rounders in PE. This week we have been working on our fielding techniques.
