T-Rex Summer 1, Week 5
Date: 16th May 2024 @ 7:38am
Take a look at what Talented T-Rex class have been learning this week…
In English, we have looked at the story 'If I built a school', where the main character Jack adds interesting things to his school. We used time words, describing words and ‘and’ to write detailed sentences about the zoo in reception, the robot chef and the magical books that come alive. Harley and Morgan wrote some lovely sentences and showed great independence!
In BSL, we learned signs for prepositions, such as ‘next to’, ‘below’ and ‘above’. Then, we used the signs to describe where things were in a picture.
In Topic, we learned about Samuel Wilderspin, an influential man during the Victorian times. We listened to an audio clip and read a text to find out facts about him. He wanted to make schools more fun and provide children with more opportunities to play. Did you know he opened around 200 schools in the Victorian times?
Well done Nycolle for Star of the Week! You have been working hard in writing, applying your phonics learning to help you write different words.
Well done Jack for Star Writer! You did a super job writing describing words this week.
