Topic

This week in Topic, we started an exciting art-based project called "Let's Mix." The children have been exploring the world of colours, learning about primary and secondary colours. Casey showed great care and precision when mixing her primary colours, making sure they blended perfectly! We've had a lot of fun creating our very own colour wheels with paints, experimenting with how different colours combine to create new shades. By the end of the week, we’ll be looking at how famous artists use colours in their work. The children are really looking forward to discussing and comparing their ideas, and I can already see lots of creative thinking happening in the classroom!

Maths

In Maths, the children have been working on adding numbers using mental strategies. They’ve also been using number lines and a hundred square to help them count on with increasing accuracy. I’m really impressed with how well they are picking up these skills and becoming more confident with their addition. They’re beginning to think about numbers in a new way, which is fantastic to see!

English

In English this week, the children have been writing their letters to Miss Nancy. They have put so much thought and effort into their writing, and it's been wonderful to see them expressing themselves clearly and creatively. The excitement is building as they get ready to send their letters, and I’m sure Miss Nancy will be thrilled to receive them!

We had an amazing time raising money for Children in Need last week! The children worked so hard and showed such generosity and kindness in raising lots of money for this fantastic cause. Well done T-Rexes!
