Maths

In Maths, we’ve been busy learning all about time! The children have been exploring the concepts of ‘o’clock’ and ‘half past.’ We’ve been practicing reading both digital and analogue clocks and using phrases like “What time is it?” and “It’s half past two.” Logan showed great enthusiasm when talking about the hours and half-hours—well done, Logan!  We’ve also been comparing different times of the day, such as when it’s time for lunch or when the school day finishes.

English

In English, we’ve been working on writing instructions. The children have been learning how to write clear and easy-to-follow steps for different activities. We’ve focused on using time words like "first," "then," "next," and "finally" to help make instructions easier to understand.

Topic

In our Topic lessons, we’ve started an exciting new Design and Technology project called ‘Taxis’. The children are thrilled to be planning and creating their own taxi models! They’ve been learning about key vehicle parts like the chassis, axle, and wheels. We’ve discussed how these parts fit together to create a working vehicle, and the children have begun sketching their ideas. They’re now thinking carefully about the best ways to construct their models, and we can’t wait to start building next week!
