Maths

This week in maths, T-Rex class have been exploring arrays and division using sharing circles. The children have been working hard to understand how to organise objects in equal rows and columns, making it easier to see how division works. A big well done to Arden for using some fantastic vocabulary when explaining arrays, including terms like "rows," "columns," and "equal groups."

English

In English, we've been writing our letters to Samuel Pepys about the Great Fire of London. The children have been learning about this historical event and thinking about what the fire was like. They wrote thoughtful and creative letters, sharing their feelings and asking about his experience.

Topic

In our topic lessons, we've been learning about precipitation and the different types of wet weather. We've explored how rain, snow, and hail form, and looked at the temperature and its impact on weather patterns. The children have been investigating the changes in temperature and tracked it this week using thermometers.  How exciting!
